Judo

At TAPS, our Judo Club emphasizes discipline, balance, and personal growth. Under the instruction of Sensei Dartagnan Davon, a two-time Paralympic Bronze Medalist and IBSA World Champion, our program blends Olympic-level experience with a welcoming, fundamentals-first approach. Training focuses on strong basics: posture, movement, grips, and throws, while encouraging creativity, problem solving, and adaptability on the mat.

Our philosophy is simple: build solid fundamentals, train with intention, and help every student progress at their own pace. Classes are structured to be inclusive and accessible for everyone ages 13 and up, from complete beginners to experienced judoka. With Dartagnan’s background in Para Judo, the program naturally fosters an environment where all students train side by side, learning from each other through connection, awareness, and mutual respect.

The TAPS Judo Club meets on Mondays at 6:00 PM and Fridays at 5:00 PM. We’ll be adding more classes soon as our club continues to grow.
